On the 5th of October two high school pupils, Nienke Bakker and Stefan Van Bel from the Netherlands will visit the Middle School. They are studying at the College de Heemlanden in De Houten and are in their last year of Scientific High School. For their final exam they are preparing a report on flooding in the Netherlands and they are visiting us so that they can compare the situation in the Netherlands with the problem of high water in Venice. They will spend the morning in each class to discuss the issue of flooding in the Netherlands and in Venice and they will work with the class on various activities.
On the 6th October Middle 2 pupils will meet Nienke and Stefano in Venice and have a walking tour of Venice where the pupils can show and talk about their personal experiences of high water over the years.
